It's fall, which means one thing: preschool application time.
Forget university; the most frenzied applications are being filled out right now in open-concept kitchens and wood-paneled dining rooms from Nob Hill to the Upper East Side. It's fall, which means one thing: preschool application time.
A small school in Greenwich, Connecticut with only 85 children, Bridges follows the Reggio-Emilia model stressing the importance of the school's environment in its early-child program, with each area of the classroom highlighting a specific purpose to support growth. While there is a full-day program, most children only attend half-day. There are also music, yoga, and Spanish classes. Each year, parents call starting on September 1 at 8 a.m., with all callers put on a waiting list in the order calls are received. Parents play a significant role in the Bridges Parents Association, including coordinating events and fundraisers and planning social and educational activities.

BRIDGES EXTENDS SCHOOL YEAR
We are dedicated to excellence on every level, and feel this new plan will offer a longer school year with more continuity for the children during the month of June, as well as align with older siblings who are attending other schools.This plan also has the advantage of continuing to employ our part-time teachers before they transition to summer employment.
